The hood is a combination of a hood and a scarf and is worked from the top of the hood down to the neck. The work is then divided into two parts, with one side of the scarf worked first and the other afterward. The length for the children's size fits approximately 8–9 years. Yarn from KFO will create a hood that feels light, while yarn from Pickles will result in a slightly heavier hood.
If you want to adjust the scarf length, the following yarn amounts are needed per 10 cm of additional length:
Merino from KFO: 5 (6) g and Soft Silk Mohair from KFO: 4 (5) g
Tjukk (Thick) Merino from Pickles: 9 (11) g
Remember to calculate the yarn requirement for both ends of the scarf if you want to adjust the length. For example, if you want to shorten the scarf by 5 cm, subtract the yarn amount for 10 cm. If you want to lengthen it by 10 cm, add the yarn amount for 20 cm.
