The hat is knitted from the top down, starting with Judy's Magic Cast-On, which creates an invisible cast-on edge. The hat is worked in the round, with increases made from the top down until the correct number of stitches is reached. The hat is knitted with a double folded edge, creating a warm and cozy winter hat!
Since the hat is worked from the top down, it can be tried on as you go by placing the stitches on a stitch holder/cord to determine how long it should be knitted. Be aware that some yarn qualities stretch more than others after washing, which may result in the hat becoming longer than originally planned.
The yarn Peer Gynt from Sandnes Garn may produce slightly larger stitches compared to other yarns, so pay attention to gauge if using this yarn.
The hats in the pictures: Luna/Hillesvåg in color 449 / Merino/KFO in color “bordeaux" and “unicorn purple”.
